Mer-loneliness

Unlike some writers who think that merpeople have gray skin, green hair and yellow eyes, I still have stuck to that same ol' fairy tale. Even now whenever I watch Disney's "Little Mermaid" I wish I was as pretty and fortunate as Ariel! Well I guess there's a lil' mermaid living in every girl.

Last night I was to some wedding party. It was too much fun for one's heart to bear. All of a sudden I felt so alone, so left out, as lonely as a 26 years old mermaid can get...

I did this sketch an hour ago. Hope you like it!

P.s - I still am waiting for Every Day Matters group to let me in. How lucky one can get!!!!!

Maria, your illustrations are very good. You could now be doing drawings for children's book. Welcome to EDM, enjoy it! Greetings.

I love the mermaid! I used to pretend to be a mermaid, for hours, even days at a time. Keep it up, you're great! Welcome to EDM.

Well, I think you're beautiful and should never be allowed to feel lonely, Maryam. Any prince would think so if they only knew you just a little.

Lovely illustration. :)

Your drawings are beautiful! A belated welcome to EDM! You should have no trouble getting into illustration. BTW, I'd love to know about the online illustration class.

What a beautiful drawing. I've always loved mermaids and this is such a wonderful image.
(I found it from doing an image search.)
