Monet: When Dots Hurt!

Well here's my Color and Design final project. It's been done in Gouache; impressionist style. I'd drawn it once with Painter IX and it's funny how you appreciate technology once you work on a piece like this. However digital art has always lost its appeal when it's compared with good ol' paint and paper. It's a 6" in 6" piece of dots and took me 8 hours to finish up. I had no idea how hard it would be. It was like poking myself in the eye constantly! God bless Monet! I mean...I may work like years to come and still won't get a tip toe closer to where he was standing 100 years ago! I may think of a serious change of style! My eyes haven't recovered yet and I have like 3 charcoal drawings for my Figure Drawing class. God knows how much am tired of this semester models!
